Meet Our Team

Every visit to ANEWU brings together two doctors and one coordinated plan, supported by front desk, clinical, imaging and in house lab staff in Buckhead, Cumming and Dawsonville. Here is how that team is organized, and who leads it.

Who you will meet

Who will I see at an ANEWU appointment?

Short answer

Every ANEWU appointment runs through two doctors and one shared treatment plan. Dr. Abtin Shahriari, an oral surgeon specializing in implant dentistry, leads surgery and dental implants. Dr. Arshia Payman, MD leads facial aesthetics. Around them, a front desk, clinical, imaging and in house lab team supports the visit at all three Georgia offices.

If you have ever wondered whether you will be handed between offices to get a whole plan, this is the part that answers it. Dr. Abtin Shahriari leads oral and maxillofacial surgery here, which covers dental implants, full arch cases, bone grafting and facial reconstruction.

Facial aesthetics is led by Dr. Arshia Payman, from Botox and dermal fillers through laser resurfacing. Because the two of them plan together rather than in sequence, a patient who needs both an implant plan and an aesthetic consultation does not have to start over between doctors.

Oral surgeon specializing in implant dentistry

Dr. Abtin leads surgery at ANEWU: dental implants, full arch cases, bone grafting and facial reconstruction. He has performed thousands of surgeries, and he spends most of a consultation listening before he recommends anything.

Board-Certified Physician, Aesthetic Medicine

Dr. Payman leads facial aesthetics at ANEWU, including Botox, dermal fillers, lip treatments and laser resurfacing. She works directly with Dr. Abtin so a surgical plan and an aesthetic goal move together instead of on separate tracks.

What does the rest of the ANEWU team do?

Four groups support the two doctors at ANEWU. Front desk coordinators handle scheduling, insurance questions and financing paperwork before you sit in a chair. A clinical team assists every surgical and aesthetic appointment. An imaging team captures the 3D scans each implant plan is built on. An in house lab finishes restorations.

Full arch restorations are built on site instead of being shipped out, which is what keeps a case from waiting in someone else's queue.

The clinical team

Assists every surgical and aesthetic appointment, from setup and sterilization through your recovery instructions.

The imaging team

Captures the 3D scan behind every implant plan, usually during your free consultation.

One plan

Surgery and aesthetics are planned together, so nothing has to be explained twice.

That imaging step is not a formality. It is the 3D imaging and guided surgery workflow that shows how much bone is actually there before any plan is put in front of you.

Under one roof

Why does ANEWU keep full arch work in house?

Full arch cases stay in house at ANEWU because the surgeon, the 3D imaging and the lab that builds the teeth all sit in the same building. Nothing waits on an outside facility's schedule. That is also what makes same day options possible for qualifying full arch cases rather than all of them.

If you have ever wondered why one practice quotes weeks and another quotes days for what sounds like the same case, the difference is usually how many outside vendors sit in the chain. Keeping full arch restoration on site removes most of them.

Not every jaw has the bone volume for a full arch plan, and your surgeon will assess that with a 3D scan at your consultation.

The same team structure at all three Georgia offices.

Each ANEWU office is staffed for the full patient journey, so the location you pick is a question of which drive is easier, not which team you get.

All three offices are open Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm, and each one runs the same way: a front desk that handles scheduling and paperwork, an imaging team for the 3D scan, a clinical team for the appointment itself, and the in house lab behind the full arch work.

ANEWU is a small practice and the team grows, so this page describes the structure rather than publishing a wall of headshots that would need correcting every few months. The structure is the part that does not change.

Your first visit

Do I meet both doctors at my first visit?

Not usually. Your first visit is matched to what you came in for: Dr. Abtin Shahriari for implants, oral surgery or bone loss, Dr. Payman for facial aesthetics. If your goals cross both, the two doctors coordinate one plan, and the front desk schedules the second consultation at the same Georgia office.

  • Check in and a short health history with the front desk
  • A 3D scan and diagnostic records taken by the imaging team
  • An exam and a plain explanation of your options
  • Costs, insurance and financing covered before you decide

The front desk can have your ANEWU patient forms ready before you arrive, or you can complete them at the visit.

Common questions

Your questions about our team, answered.

Broader new patient questions about treatment, sedation and recovery are answered separately.

ANEWU is a small practice and the team changes as it grows, so a page of headshots would go out of date faster than it could be corrected. What stays constant is the structure: two doctors working from one treatment plan, supported by front desk, clinical, imaging and lab staff at every office.

Yes. Buckhead, Cumming and Dawsonville are each staffed for the full patient journey, from the front desk through imaging, surgery and the restoration itself. The two doctors see patients across the three offices, so the location you choose is a question of which drive is easier, not which team you get.

The imaging team captures your 3D scan at ANEWU, usually during your free consultation rather than at a separate appointment. That scan is what every implant and full arch plan is built on, because it shows how much bone is actually there before anything is recommended.

The front desk at your ANEWU office handles scheduling, insurance questions and financing paperwork, and you can reach them at (470) 288-9655 Monday to Saturday. ANEWU accepts CareCredit and Proceed Finance, and the front desk can walk you through a payment plan before your procedure is scheduled.

Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of the medications you take. If another office has already taken X rays or a scan, bring those as well. ANEWU patient forms are completed at the visit, or the front desk can have them ready before you arrive.

Keep exploring ANEWU.
